Terms of Service

The terms governing your use of VisaRequirementMap. Plain English — the same way we write our country guides.

1. Introduction

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website visarequirementmap.com (the "Site"), operated by VisaRequirementMap ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms, our privacy policy, our cookie policy, and our disclaimer. If you do not agree to any of these, please discontinue use of the Site.

2. About Our Service

VisaRequirementMap is a free, educational reference website. We publish visa requirement guides for 190+ countries and a free Visa Checker tool. We are not a visa application service, an immigration consultancy, a law firm, a travel agency, or a government authority. We earn no fee from any visa decision, application, or denial.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Site will be free of interruptions, errors, security incidents, or that any specific piece of information will be accurate at the moment you read it. Visa rules change. Always verify with the official embassy of your destination before booking travel.

4. Intellectual Property

The original written content, original presentation, design system, illustrations, code, and brand assets on the Site are owned by VisaRequirementMap and protected by US copyright law and international treaties. Factual data — for example, "the UAE offers visa on arrival to US citizens for 30 days" — is not copyrightable in itself; the way we present, organize, write, and explain that data is. Please respect that distinction.

If you would like to use our content beyond ordinary reading and sharing, contact us through our contact page and we will discuss licensing.

5. Accuracy Disclaimer — The Most Important Section

Visa rules, entry policies, fees, and travel requirements change frequently and sometimes without notice. Our editorial process is described on our about page and our methodology aims for accuracy at the time of last review. We cannot, and do not, guarantee that any specific item on the Site is accurate at the moment you read it.

The only authoritative source for current visa requirements is the official embassy or consulate of your destination country. Before booking non-refundable travel, before submitting a visa application, before committing to a travel date, you agree to verify the current rule with the official authority. By using the Site you accept that VisaRequirementMap is one input among many in your travel research — not a guarantee.

Our full disclaimer is on our disclaimer page. Please read it.

6. No Professional Advice

Nothing on the Site is immigration advice, legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, or travel-safety advice. We are a research publication. For advice specific to your situation, consult an appropriately licensed professional — for immigration matters, that means a licensed immigration attorney in the relevant jurisdiction.

7. External Links

Many pages on the Site link to external websites: official government immigration portals, embassy sites, IATA, foreign ministries, and occasionally to reputable travel partners. We provide these links because they are useful. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices, or security of external sites. Visiting an external site is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by US law, VisaRequirementMap and its operators, contributors, and affiliates are not liable for any loss, damage, expense, denied entry, missed flight, delayed travel, immigration consequence, fine, penalty, or harm of any kind arising from:

This limitation applies whether the alleged liability arises in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise, and regardless of whether we were warned of the possibility of such loss. The total liability of VisaRequirementMap to any user for any claim arising out of use of the Site shall not exceed one hundred US dollars (USD 100) or the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months, whichever is less. Most users pay us nothing because our content is free.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VisaRequirementMap, its operators, contributors, and affiliates from any claim, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, post a notice at the top of the page for at least 30 days. Continued use of the Site after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to a change, please discontinue use of the Site.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Site, in our discretion, for any user who violates these Terms or who uses the Site in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full effect.

14. Contact for Terms Questions

Questions about these Terms can be sent through our contact page. Please select "General Question" or "Other" as the subject and reference "Terms" in your message.
